A broadsheet is a large-format newspaper, traditionally measuring around 22 inches (55 cm) in length, known for its long vertical pages and serious journalism. Unlike tabloid newspapers—which tend to focus on sensational stories or celebrity news—broadsheets emphasize in-depth reporting, investigative journalism, and editorial content. Often associated with credibility and authority, broadsheets are the standard format for many national and international papers such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Guardian.
